Thai Mahachanok mango debuts in Korea

The first Thai Mahachanok mangoes have been sold in Korea with the fruit to be stocked at Hyundai Department Stores across the country.

Thailand had been working to gain access to Korea for this variety of mango for nine years and the development was celebrated with Thai fruit promotion event in Seoul, organised by the Thai Trade Centre Seoul collaborates with Hyundai Department Store.

Thailand Gem and Jewelry Import-Export Performance Jan-Nov 2020

Thailand’s gem and jewelry import value of January to November 2020 was at USD 7,454.53 million (THB 233,769.65 million), a 34.85 percent slide (a 35.01 percent in Thai baht), compared to the same period of last year. However, the import value of November soared 2.11 folds from October 2020.

Thai Hom Mali rice nets global prize

Thai Hom Mali fragrant rice has regained the world champion status it last held in 2017, potentially giving a lift to the country’s exports of the grain.

The 12th annual World Rice Conference, held virtually by the US-based trade publication Rice Trader, announced that Thai Hom Mali had seen off rivals from five countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, China and the US.

In October 2020, an overview of Thailand international trade has improved in line with the gradual recovery of the global economy reflected by the Global Manufacturing PMI, which stood above 50 for the fourth consecutive month.
